Northeast Heating Oil Reserve to Go Low-Sulfur; Auction of Current …

The Department of Energy (DOE) announced on Tuesday that it would replace the heating oil currently stored in the Northeast Home Heating Oil Reserve with. According to the press release, the new fuel going into the reserve will contain 15 parts per million (ppm) of sulfur, known as ultra lowsulfur distillate fuel or ultra lowsulfur diesel (ULSD).
